Student House Hunting for 21/22 is here. And it’s different…

Believe it or not, advertising properties for July 2021 has begun! So if you are looking to move house, make sure you have a browse through our available houses on our Website, Zoopla and OnTheMarket. We have a beautiful selection of properties and we’d love to help you find your perfect home.

If 2020 has taught us anything it's that you never know what’s around the corner. We have spent the last six weeks visiting as many of our managed properties as possible to take photographs and walk through videos where possible in the aim to minimise face to face viewings. In previous years we’ve loved being able to drive you from house to house showing you a selection of styles and variety of houses, but sadly this isn't going to be possible this year.

First of all, if you'd prefer to renew your home for next year, have a read of the benefits below and get in touch with us as soon as possible!

If you're looking to find a new home we advise speaking with your group and deciding on your requirements before beginning your search. Think about things like:

  • Location - Do you want to be close to your university or to town?

  • Price - Have you got a top budget you can't exceed?

  • Quality - Looking for somewhere modernly refurbished or do you just need something simple?

  • Size - Do you have loads of stuff and require a lot of space? Or is room size not too much of a worry for you?

  • Number of bathrooms - Specifically looking for more than 1?

  • Garden - Is a large garden important? Do you prefer a low maintenance garden?

  • Any other special requirements!

Having these details will mean we can better advise you on our available houses most suited to your group.

Although online viewings are going to be the 'new normal' this year, we’re sure there are still some of you out there not looking to rent a property which you haven't seen with your own eyes. The good news is that we will still be offering viewings, however they may come in a different form to before. For example, we could do:

  • 'Open house' viewings where we arrange for the tenants to leave the house for an hour or 2 to allow us to prop open all the doors and show around numerous groups in a short timeframe.

  • 'Lead tenant' viewings which would mean just one person from the group coming to see the house to minimise exposure within the household.

  • 'Facetime' viewings where we visit the property and show you around the property via a video call - allowing you to be in control of what you see.

It goes without saying that if someone is self-isolating within a household that we will not be offering viewings there until we've been given the all-clear to do so. And also if you want to view a house, you can only do so if you aren't self-isolating yourself.

At this moment in time its very difficult to say how the next few months will pan out, but as and when things change we'll try our very best to keep you as up-to-date as possible.

Have you got any suggestions or ideas on what you would like to see over the upcoming viewing season? Please don't hesitate to let us know and we'll see what we can do!
